I'm not sure if this is the configuration of my local machine but when I connect with the "GPRS (GSM/3G)" setting I cannot access FTP servers, however when using "Dialup Device" setting everything works as intended.
I've not checked whether or not I can open ports on the public IP Address however I have confirmed that the IP Address shown in System Preferences matches that displayed on speedtest.net.

Have you noticed that if you change the setting titled “GPRS (GSM/3G)” to “Dialup Device” and leave the defaults you will be assigned an external IP Address rather than an internal one from the 10.0.0.0/8 range?

I’m not sure if this is the configuration of my local machine but when I connect with the “GPRS (GSM/3G)” setting I cannot access FTP servers, however when using “Dialup Device” setting everything works as intended.

I’ve not checked whether or not I can open ports on the public IP Address however I have confirmed that the IP Address shown in System Preferences matches that displayed on speedtest.net.

Comment on London Tube and DLR Station Postcodes by Julia lemon

<guid

A couple of points -
1. It should be Devons ROAD, not Row as given.
2. I found the following DLR stations were missing. I've found a nearby postcode in each case:-
King George V,E16 2JF
London City Airport,E16 2PB
Pontoon Dock,E16 2SB
West Silvertown,E16 1UD

Really useful and much appreciated.<br

Change ssl no to ssl start_tls
Start TLS will setup connection over tcp/389 but will start encrypting data whenever required (i.e. changing data).
Nothing besides this minor change needs to be done.
If LDAP connection times out, then at least restart nscd. Possibly you would actually need to run authconfig-tui to set up everything straight. With that done, it should be straightforward to alter configs as described above and get encryption running.

Want this to run encrypted?<br
